Ayodele Speaks Out: Iluyomade Did Not Rebel Against RCCG
Quincy Ayodele, a senior member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has denied claims that Pastor Idowu Iluyomade rebelled against the church before starting his own ministry.
In a video interview with Daddy Freeze, Ayodele expressed her disappointment. She said the church issued a letter barring Iluyomade from the City of David Parish, even after serving his three-month suspension.
“We expected his restoration. Instead, they told him not to return,” she said.
Ayodele: Church Elders Tried to Reconcile Iluyomade and Adeboye
Ayodele said the church elders met with Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer. They begged him to forgive Iluyomade, but he refused.
“They wrote letters and signed their names. Baba Adeboye never replied,” she said.
She revealed that during the suspension, she accompanied Iluyomade to RCCG headquarters in Ebute Meta every time he went.
Banned from Two RCCG Parishes
After the suspension, Ayodele said Iluyomade began attending Kings Court Parish, which he helped pioneer. The current pastor welcomed them at first. However, church authorities later instructed them to leave.
“He was broken. When I visited, he was weeping. They told him not to enter the church,” Ayodele said.
No Plans to Start a Church
Ayodele insisted Iluyomade never planned to start a church. She noted that he had spent over 30 years in RCCG after leaving the Anglican Church.
“He doesn’t even know how to start a church,” she said.
“People he helped abandoned him. No one prayed for him in City of David.”
Adeboye’s Remarks Deeply Hurt Us – Ayodele
Ayodele reacted to comments Pastor Adeboye made during a visit to the City of David. He allegedly referred to people who left RCCG as “demons” and called Trinity Towers a building constructed by devils.
“I started wondering — is this my Daddy talking? What’s going on?” Ayodele asked tearfully.
💬 Still Hoping for Reconciliation
Despite everything, Ayodele has not joined Iluyomade’s new church. She believes reconciliation is still possible and continues to mediate between both sides.
“I believe he can return. I’m praying Daddy GO changes his mind,” she said.
