FG to Complete 284km Kano–Maradi Railway by 2026

President Tinubu says the 284-kilometre Kano–Maradi rail project will be completed by 2026 to ease movement of goods and people. Speaking in Katsina, he also announced road contracts and plans to expand the airport. The project, initiated under Buhari, received a $1.96 billion funding approval in 2020 and links Nigeria to Niger Republic, reducing road stress and boosting regional trade.
